Child Prodigy East is a licensed childcare center seeking a full-time School Age Teacherto support our K-5 classrooms.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. Previous early childhood education experience preferred! Must have chauffer's license or willing to obtain upon hire (license will be paid for). 

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8am-5pm

Compensation: $14-$15/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the supervision of school age children and meeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care.

• Responsible for driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips.
• Arrange Lesson Plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales).
• Responsible for establishing a professional level of communication with each family member to provide quality care for each child. On-going communication in all aspects relating to the children in their room with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
